Ectropion
When the eyelid turns outwards.
Ectropian is a condition where the eyelid (most commonly the bottom eyelid) turns out. It causes the inner eye to be exposed leading to irritation and excessive tearing causing irritation of skin around the eye. The level of severity can vary depending on how much of the lower segment eyelid is turned out. The people mostly affected by this condition are the elderly. Treatment commonly includes ocular lubricants but ultimately surgery will be required.
